My hot, hot, summer(well, most of it)

Ugh, I almost forgot that I have a blog. Haven't updated it in a long time. Well, here's my latest addititon. Summer in Nevada, is, well, hot. Really, really hot. Still, most of the day I'm outside. Good thing I have a quite large tree in my front yard. Me and my brother, Nathan, play outside with our next-door neighbors, who are about our age. I like playing in the sprinklers. It cools me off. Inside, I like drawing, reading, watching movies, and playing the new game my mom bought, Canasta calienta. Also, my brother and I just started school a week ago. We're Homeschooled, so we start school earlier than public school. We're having fun with math, new handwriting, reading, new geography, ect. But especially science. We're doing new lapbooks this year. That will make two lapbooks. We're learning about the flying creatures of the fifth day. In our first lapbook, we did birds and half the bats. This year, we just started on the other half of bats, pterosaurs, and insects.

Sick

I'm sick. Being sick stinks. For the last few days I've not been able to talk very well, and my voice sounds like Peppermint Patty from Charlie Brown. Anyway, I had a fever too. For a whole day I didn't even get off the couch. I lost my voice and my throat was sore. But my fever is gone now and I'm better accept my voice is still a little bit croaky. By Natalie

At grandma's house

A couple of days ago, My family and I went to my grandma's house for the weekend. It was really fun. They have two big dogs. One of them is ginormous! His name is Greasy. The other dog is Freckles. They also have a cat named Spot. I like cats a lot. When we go to grandma's, we also get to see my great grandma, Violet. We visit her when ever we go. My brother and I sometimes make her things or draw her pictures. I like going to grandma's because they have a nice big yard with lots of sagebrush to play with my brother in.

My Valentines day ideas

Here are some ideas I had for making a fun Valentines day. On heart shaped pieces of paper, write comments or inspirations. Then put them up in random places for people to see.
Have a pet? You can write a love note and tie it to your pets collar. Then someone will find it. ;-) Make a treasure hunt. Everyone loves those. Fill a box or basket with goodies.(Sweethearts work best) On index cards write clues to the next card, and the next card and so on till it leads straight to the goodies. Write a love letter to your parents on a piece of paper. Roll the paper into a scroll and tie it with a ribbon. You can even stick a rose in with the love letter. Ask your mom or dad make heart shaped pancakes. Sprinkle on sprinkles and put on sweethearts to give it a sweet-tart taste. Fill a mini bucket with goodies and a little card and put it in front of their breakfast with their initials on it Valentines morning. Have your mom help to make a giant heart shaped cookie for your dad. By Natalie

Sewing with my mom

I love to sew with my mom. I make my dolls clothes. My first time sewing was on my mom's sewing machine. I made my doll a blanket and pillow. But now I have my own machine. I got it with my Christmas money that I got from my grandpa. So now I can sew right alongside my mom. She's good at sewing things and she makes me and my brother pajama pant's. I made my own pajama pants, and then my doll an outfit that matches. My most recent project I made my doll a dress. And the cool thing about making my doll clothes, dolls don't grow!

Homeschooled

I love being homeschooled. It is really great be able to be with my brother and my mom. My mom is an awesome teacher, mother, and friend. I also love to get to spend the day with my brother, Nathan. I love art, science, and home economics. But everything is fun. For science we get to build a birds nest! That will be fun. I love home economics most of all. I am making my doll a couple dresses. One of them matches one of the ones my mom made me. It's fun to get to sew stuff for school. It's a real treat! By Natalie

I'm excited

I'm really excited about having my own blog. I've been wanting one for a while now. I think I'll probably be on it pretty often. I am homeschooled and liking it a lot. It's neat because me and my brother get to be with our mom all day. My brother, Nathan likes baseball and is in little league. I play with him a lot. I like to draw from my imagination. But sometimes I'll bring out my drawing books and flip through it to find something good. I'll draw a lot on the computer also, and I might put some of the pictures that I draw on this blog. I also like to sew alongside my mom. I like to make my doll clothes, and my mom likes to make me and my brother clothes. My mom made me two dresses. My mom has pictures of them on her blog.
